not that i don't love misha/cas, but am i the only one kind of excited about this? i feel like i've forgotten what it was like when it was just the two of them.
i want them to have to try harder and be without the angel mojo for a while. this plus them potentially being back in trouble with the law makes me ache for seasons 1-3.

Jensen really seems to miss it when they had adversaries they could do something about, the show got to big and convoluted and they couldn't handle it. I really hope they actually scale back.

The way they're talking about it gives me some hope that Cas' presence will be smaller but I'm trying not to get too optimistic.

I really like Cas but it's time for a change. Seeing the guys getting back to relying on each other is good news. I know it won't be like the first couple of seasons but maybe close enough considering everything they've been through.

Yeah....the way they talk about Cas and Misha in the second video (before Jensen catches himself and says "oh, well, we don't know what the resolution of that storyline is") has not got my hopes up.

I can't even deal with what Sera and the rest of the writers have wrought at this point.

I was just thinking about how much I miss seasons1-3!Sam. Like, I was all "WHERE DID OUR DEAN GO?!!" during season six, but the apocalypse issue made me totally forget about brainy college nerd researcher Sam. So now I'm weeping inside.

Also: I agree with the mullet rock needs. They argued lack of budget freedoms in season six, but for some reason the show is super popular now and they could afford to add another episode, so... Make it work, Gamble!

Hmm. I'm a little sad about all the negativity towards the broader story-arcs. I like story-arcs. I feel like going back to MOTW is taking a step backwards in terms of the shows development.

Purely superficial thoughts:
- I like how Jared is standing a little behind Jensen so they look almost the same size.
- T-SHIRTS = LADYBONER.
- They're absolutely gorgeous, but they look sort of... prettied up here. They remind me of these really hot guys I used to work with that were always perfectly coiffed and groomed, and then one morning they showed up for this early morning meeting all scruffy and dressed lazy and I was like UUUUNNNFFF. I'd like to see what these two look like first thing in the morning.

OK. Second video makes me sad, especially when they try to tell us "the surest way to come back to life is to die." It really sounds like they're trying to reassure us about something they're not supposed to tell us yet.

I am still excited for evil!Cas and conflicted!Cas, and I really don't think they're going to lose him permanently. But the odds are definitely up after this interview.

With the whole 'no lore' - well, who has lore about a god that just ascended? I would like very much for that to happen (if only because they're not wrapping that shit up without redemption, ever) - but the third video makes it seem like there will be stuff from purgatory as the Big Bad rather than Cas.

I would hope that defeating all the purgatory beasts and what not would be stepping stones to getting Cas back.

OK. CAS BIT OVER WITH.

Excluding Cas, I think this sounds AWESOME. I want the guys together dealing with this, I want old-fashioned detective work, I want Dean learning how to shed his Cloak of Eternal Angst...
