Saying goodbye is never easy, but sadly the time has come. As of today, SPNP is closed to new submissions and new members; all current content will be left as is.

This decision comes from changes in the mods' abilities to dedicate the same time and effort into maintaining the community. While the choice to close may be disappointing to some, much consideration went into possible alternatives. Bringing in a whole new mod team could change the comm from what members had originally signed up for, yet we didn't want to make new mods feel pressured to simply follow our old rules and routines. Ultimately, we feel it is best to close SPNP and give others an opportunity during this hiatus to create their own replacements as they see fit.

We want to thank all of you for making SPNP such a fun place for keeping up with show news and meeting new friends, and we also want to thank the various news sources and the show itself for giving the community a reason to exist. After opening in 2009, the community grew to over 5,300 members, with 836,000+ comments posted in nearly 2,000 entries. Thanks for the FFAs and viewing parties, for helping Supernatural get the TV Guide cover, for the 'gnu porn' and the Mean Girls macros and all the gifs!

We hope everyone enjoys the remainder of this season of Supernatural, and all seasons to come!

DOUBLE TROUBLE — Four years ago, Sam and Dean helped a woman named Nora (guest star Nicole Oliver) exorcise a demon that was systematically killing women in a small town. They managed to save the postal worker, Jeffrey (guest star Russell Sams), while vanquishing the demon but now it seems the black-eyed monster has reared his ugly head and returned for a second helping. The brothers visit Jeffrey, who has been locked in a psych ward since the incident, to see if he can remember any of the demon’s plans while he was possessed.

He's hot enough to have caused a fan uproar on Supernatural when he left the show. And now, Misha Collins is back on your TV. And teaming up with Buffy Summers! Talk about some cult TV goodness.

Misha is returning to Supernatural as the fan favorite Castiel later this season, but first he'll be making a stop in New York City to stir up some trouble for Sarah Michelle Gellar & Co. on the CW's Ringer. And we've got your exclusive first look...

Is someone making a play for Bridget (Gellar)?! Seems like Andrew (Ioan Gruffudd) better watch out because he's about to get some competition.

Collins will appear in Ringer's Feb. 21 episode as Dylan, a man who plays an important part of both sisters' past. Judging by the flowers he's carrying, it seems like he may have more on his mind than just catching up and reminiscing about the good ol' days.

Curiously enough, the episode description says the rift between Bridget and Siobhan will be revealed. Hey, if you're going to let a man come in between you and your twin sister, he might as well look like Collins!

After Ringer, viewers will next see Collins when he returns to Supernatural for a three-episode arc. Whee!

Ringer airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on the CW.
